Because granite is a harder stone than marble, its grinding line requires more aggressive abrasives. FM and NV (Velox) type granite abrasives are used sequentially from coarse grit 24 to fine 1500; they deliver high efficiency on impact-system machines. They also prepare the surface before final polishing for granite ceramic and composite stone groups.
